ICFF RECAP

We saw a lot of familiar faces this year at ICFF, thank you for stopping by.

We couldn't have asked for a better location or friendlier people to talk to! Our goal this year was better education of our Local and Sustainable production. These two things coupled with Diane's sculptural and fresh aesthetic created a lot of lasting conversations that continue even now, a month after the show.

Everything that was at the show has now been relocated into our new showroom and can all be seen right at the heart of New York's design district. If you have a client and would like to show them dp studio's quality or are just passing through New York, please come by for more in-depth and personal assistance. ICFF is like a teaser- it's in our showroom where we really love to spend the quality time to talk with our clients about why our products are like nothing else out there.

Vine Chair Debut:

The dps furniture collection is completely American made. Pieces include seating (chairs, benches, chaises, ottomans), casegoods (armoires, entertainment units) and tables. At ICFF, dps introduced a new iteration of their classic Damask carved arm chair, the Vine Chair, a striking, raspberry aniline-dyed modern version.

Designer For Designers: Tips From Diane

As a designer, you may wish you had someone to turn to ask tough questions you have about a project you're working on. With decades of experience in both commercial and residential projects from the ground up, Diane is an experienced senior member of the Design Community and available for consultations. We'll be featuring Designer's questions for the whole community in our newsletter.

Please email your questions to: studio@dpstudiousa.com.

Designer Q: I just redecorated my new house and I want to have a nice summer dinner party to showcase the design without being too overt about it. Do you have any suggestions on how to combine a house tour and dinner party tastefully?

Diane: I do quite a lot of entertaining in my country house and the way I like to invite guests into my home is by utilizing all of the public spaces in my home conveniently as an entertainment tool in itself. I'll start hors d'oeuvres in one location, then I'll invite everyone into the dining room for the formal dinner courses, and for dessert I'll guide everyone into a third location. This way you don't have to spend all your entertaining time cleaning up; your guests mingle better in the diverse seating arrangements; and best of all you really get a chance to highlight and discuss the decor of your house, leaving lasting impressions of at least three unique spaces.
